The Coordinator of Family and Community Partnerships (CFCP) collaborates with families and students who may need support accessing learning opportunities at E. O. Smith. The CFCP also serves as a liaison between families and the school by providing information about resources and supports available in the community. The CFCP functions as an intermediary and advocate by providing students and their families with proactive preventative services through deliberate and effective family engagement.
The CFCP’s role is to develop effective working relationships between district and school staff and the larger community. The CFCP will conduct home visits to counsel parents and students regarding the importance of educational support for parents and families in the areas of academic success, attendance at school, and student growth.
The CFCP will work with community partners, nonprofits, and social service agencies to connect students and families to existing programs in all the communities E. O. Smith serves. The CFCP is responsible for improving public relations and for marketing the school and its programs to the larger public.
