Qualifications & Expectations


  • Strong Plant Science Background
    • Greenhouse Management
    • Floral Design
    • Biotechnology
    • Horticulture/Landscape/Landscape Design
    • Be able to plan, order supplies
  • Supervise and conduct FFA activities both in and out of school including but not limited to:
    • Yearly award ceremony
    • Greenhand/Chapter Degree Ceremony
    • Fundraising activities
    • Community Service Projects
    • CDE coaching
    • Other Leadership activities
  • Assist students with Supervised Agricultural Experiences both in and outside of school and using AET
  • Extended contract days, additional contractual summer hours are required
  • Assist with FFA Chapter Officer Team
  • Must have or get Activity Van license by September 30
  • Continually update curriculum in order to:
    • Provide authentic and real-world learning experiences for students
    • Promote student engagement and achievement
    • Promote instructional practices that are modified and differentiated to meet the need of the learner

SUBSTITUTE custodian needed at E.O. Smith High School.  Primary duties include operation of custodial equipment, interior and exterior building cleaning and other related duties. Candidates must possess physical ability to lift heavy objects and have excellent employment related references. Successful candidate subject to extensive reference check and police background investigation.
