Weighted Grades

The weighted grading system (see chart below) provides a distinction between Advanced, Honors and College Preparatory courses.  The numeric differences are calculated and displayed as a weighted Grade Point Average (GPA) by adding the weighted grade for all courses and dividing by the total number of courses taken.  Unleveled and Pass/fail courses are excluded from the weighted GPA.

Advanced (AD)- Includes AP, ECE, ECSU concurrent enrollment courses.

*Dual enrollment courses (those take on a college campus) will receive advanced weight.

*Advanced Pre-calculus will receive advanced weight.

Honors (H)- Includes MCC concurrent enrollment courses.

College or Career Preparatory (CCP)- Includes all other course offerings.
