Philip DeSiato graduated from E.O. Smith in the spring of 1960.  After graduating, he went on to join his father in running the family business, DeSiato Sand & Gravel Corporation.

Today Mr. DeSiato owns and operates the business.  This company, started in 1954, has been going strong for 54 years; supplying materials for many of the construction companies and residents here in Storrs and the surrounding towns.  They have also done work and supplied materials for the University of Connecticut construction projects and the Mansfield Community Center.    DeSiato Sand & Gravel Corporation is one of the largest family owned material suppliers here in Storrs and they continue to be an important business in the community.
