Families are a vital part of the school community and are encouraged to become actively involved.  The family is the student’s primary teacher and is considered a partner in educating one student at a time. At least one parent or guardian must be part of each student’s Learning Plan Team, which meets four times a year.  For students whose parents aren’t able to be part of the Learning Plan Team, then a concerned adult may attend.  Parents/Guardians are expected at all Exhibitions, and every effort is made to see that this happens – including the option of having the Exhibition (or Learning Plan meeting) at the student’s home.
