Students at The Depot Campus School as part of the learning plan team design an individualized curriculum. The plan is created with family, mentor, and advisor input. It is a complex document. Students integrate their authentic project work, community expectations, learning activities, and academic and personal goals. It is a living document and evolves along with the student’s work and learning. This work is then documented through the use of the following tools:
- The super-calendar (short-term and long-term planning of schedule, goals, deadlines, lists of important contacts, notes from your LTI, project meetings)
- Student journal (weekly reflection of project management)
- The working portfolio (everything that is being worked on during the quarter)
- The portfolio box (completed work); and
- The final presentation portfolio (completed best works)
- A written narrative report each quarter by the advisor
These learning plans are created quarterly.
