Educational Planning PDF Print E-mail

Students at The Depot Campus School as part of the learning plan team design an individualized curriculum. The plan is created with family, mentor, and advisor input. It is a complex document. Students integrate their authentic project work, community expectations, learning activities, and academic and personal goals. It is a living document and evolves along with the student’s work and learning.  This work is then documented through the use of the following tools:

  1. The super-calendar (short-term and long-term planning of schedule, goals, deadlines, lists of important contacts, notes from your LTI, project meetings)
  2. Student journal (weekly reflection of project management)
  3. The working portfolio (everything that is being worked on during the quarter)
  4. The portfolio box (completed work); and
  5. The final presentation portfolio (completed best works)
  6. A written narrative report each quarter by the advisor

These learning plans are created quarterly.
